FOOT CARE JOURNAL 14
Busy, Brilliant,
and Quietly Neglecting Your Feet
Calendar full, inbox handled, a table booked for eight. From the outside, everything is running beautifully. Then the shoes come off at the end of the night, and the heels tell a slightly different story.
It happens most to the people who manage everything else well. Hands are seen all day, on a keyboard, around a glass, so they get attention. Feet spend the day in shoes, out of sight, and slip down the list.
Meanwhile, they are doing more than their share: the commute, the stairs, a full day in heels, an evening that runs late. The skin answers the way it always does, with dryness, hard patches and the first small cracks.
A quarter of you, below the ankles
Each foot has 26 bones. Together, the two feet hold roughly a quarter of all the bones in the body, a remarkable amount of engineering for the part we think about least.
None of it happens overnight, which is exactly why it goes unnoticed. Busy weeks turn into busy months, and feet quietly get used to being forgotten.
The fix doesn’t have to be a project. It begins with simply noticing them again.
So how do you fit foot care into a schedule that already has no room?
Busy is fine. Let your feet keep up.
At Colors Hiroo Nail Lounge, foot care is a treatment of its own, never an afterthought. Over the years, we have kept refining how we care for callused skin and heels.
It can be done in the same visit as your gel manicure or pedicure: an unhurried hour in a modern Japanese house, two minutes’ walk from Hiroo Station.
Reservations are made through Hot Pepper Beauty, an external Japanese booking site. English-language plan details are listed further down that page; please scroll down to find them.
